ディスコ界のベテランStevie Koteyにより新設されたレーベルPeek of Normalの第一弾リリースはオランダ出身のプロデューサー、DJ、エレクトロニックミュージックアーティストMark du Moschによる全8トラックアルバム。コールドウェーヴ・ニューウェーヴ寄りのエレクトロニックサウンドを展開しながら、長年培ってきたアナログ機材へのこだわりと、Disco〜Electro〜Technoを横断するセンスが結実し、単にダンスフロア向けのテクノではなく、映画のサントラのような、起伏とドラマ性を持たせた流れが心地よさも感じる。

The inaugural release on Peek of Normal, a newly established label by disco veteran Stevie Kotey, comes in the form of an eight-track album by Dutch producer, DJ, and electronic music artist Mark du Mosch.

While unfolding an electronic sound rooted in cold wave and new wave aesthetics, the album reflects his long-standing dedication to analog equipment and a sensibility that fluidly traverses disco, electro, and techno. The result goes beyond straightforward, dancefloor-oriented techno, instead presenting a cinematic flow reminiscent of a film soundtrack—rich in dynamics and drama, and imbued with a sense of immersive comfort.
