Family Fodderの中心人物John “Alig” Pearceにより、同時期に様々なバンドで活動していた仲間たちを集めて結成したプロジェクトとしてスタート。異なるルーツを持つメンバーによる横断的独自のサウンドを形成。

彼らによる、キャリア唯一の1980年代にリリースされたフルアルバムが再アナログ化。ポストパンクをベースにレゲエ・ダブのリズムを随所に取り入れ、力強いベースサウンドと、ポリリズム的なドラムとパーカッションの連打が混じり合う。2年間と短い活動期間の間に作られた隠れた名盤。

The project was initiated by John “Alig” Pearce, the central figure of Family Fodder, who brought together friends and collaborators active in various bands at the time. With members coming from diverse musical backgrounds, they forged a distinctive, cross-pollinated sound of their own.

Their only full-length album, originally released in the 1980s, has now been reissued on vinyl. Rooted in post-punk while incorporating reggae and dub rhythms throughout, the record blends powerful basslines with polyrhythmic bursts of drums and percussion. Created during their brief two-year lifespan, it stands as a hidden gem from a short but compelling chapter in their history.

Smith & Mighty、More Rockersで知られるRSD a.k.a. Rob Smithのデッドストック・ダブプレート曲をまとめた限定LP。今作は2006〜2011年に制作したダブステップ曲を中心に収録し、Vinyl向けにマスタリング。太いベースラインとドラムが前面に出ており、ダブの空間感と低く重いステップの推進力が感じられる。オリジナルダブプレートならではの粗削りさと即興感は残され、リアルな現場での質感を読み取ることが可能。

A limited LP compiling deadstock dubplate tracks by RSD a.k.a. Rob Smith, known for his work with Smith & Mighty and More Rockers.

This release primarily features dubstep productions created between 2006 and 2011, newly mastered for vinyl. Thick basslines and forward-driving drums take center stage, delivering the spatial depth of dub alongside the low-end weight and propulsion characteristic of heavyweight stepper rhythms.

The rawness and improvisational feel unique to original dubplates remain intact, allowing listeners to capture the authentic texture and atmosphere of real sound system sessions.

2017年にサウスロンドンでElla Harris、Josh Baxter、Louis Satchellの3人で結成されたエレクトロポップトリオPVAによるセカンドアルバム。今作はindentation(刻印)という概念をアルバムの軸にしており、人・経験が心に残す痕跡を探ることをテーマの中心に、欲望、献身、抑圧、反復、記憶の曖昧さを描き、生きていく上での様々な課題に向き合う。トリップホップ、エレクトロニカ、オルタナティブ、テクノ、インディーを融合し、MF Doom、Massive Attack、The Knifeなどから影響を受け、複数ジャンルのクロスオーバーサウンドを展開しながら官能的なポップサウンドへ昇華している。

The second album by electro-pop trio PVA, formed in South London in 2017 by Ella Harris, Josh Baxter, and Louis Satchell.

This album is centered around the concept of “indentation” — the marks or imprints left on the heart and mind by people and experiences. At its core, it explores desire, devotion, repression, repetition, and the ambiguity of memory, confronting the many challenges that arise in the process of living.

Blending trip-hop, electronica, alternative, techno, and indie, the record draws influence from artists such as MF Doom, Massive Attack, and The Knife. While developing a cross-genre sound that moves fluidly between multiple styles, PVA elevates it into a sensual and immersive form of pop music.

初期メンフィスの色濃く、90年代のメンフィスヒップホップシーンの中でもとりわけ煙たく泥臭く、シンプルながらも重いビート、粗く野性味あるサウンドでLo-Fi感があり、決して早くなく、ゆったりとしたテンポながら独特の間があり、反復するフローなどの特徴を併せ持つ。リリックやサウンドはダークで重さをはらんでおり、メンフィスラップの生々しさが直に感じられるRAWでREALな一枚。

Deeply rooted in early Memphis, this album embodies the particularly hazy and gritty essence of the 1990s Memphis hip-hop scene. Built on simple yet heavy beats, its rough, raw-edged production carries a distinct lo-fi feel. The tempo is never fast—instead, it moves at a laid-back pace with a unique sense of space, complemented by repetitive flows that heighten its hypnotic effect.

Both the lyrics and the sound are dark and weighty, capturing the unfiltered intensity of Memphis rap. It’s a RAW and REAL record that lets you feel the stark authenticity of the Memphis streets firsthand.

A sequel to the 2000 classic Supreme Clientele, released by Staten Island legend and Wu-Tang Clan member Ghostface Killah, this project arrives as part of Mass Appeal’s “Legend Has It” campaign.

Featuring fellow Wu-Tang affiliates such as Raekwon, Method Man, and GZA, alongside legends including Nas, Styles P, M.O.P., Redman, and Conway the Machine, the album boasts an impressive lineup of guest appearances.

With the lead single “Rap Kingpin” sampling “Mighty Healthy” from the original Supreme Clientele, the project signals a return to its roots while blending tradition with new techniques. The fourth solo studio album by Birmingham, Alabama–born rapper/producer Pink Siifu. A 19-track, approximately 77-minute epic, the project is positioned as “a mirror for confronting oneself,” conceived as a statement of singular artistic identity—an expression of what makes one artist truly one of a kind.

The album embraces a genre-defying experimental hip-hop style, incorporating elements of punk, ambient, noise, and screw. It ranges widely from dark, experimental tracks to songs that at times incorporate neo-soul and jazz influences. Siifu’s voice is often submerged within the soundscape, with texture and atmosphere taking center stage, creating an immersive sonic experience for the listener and culminating in a multilayered, chaotic work of sound art.

1976年から1982年にかけてのロンドン、ニューヨーク、ロサンゼルスのパンクとニューウェーブの音楽シーンを収めた、大ボリュームの写真集。DB Burkeman(DB・バークマン)はロンドンで16歳で学校を中退し、プロの写真家を目指して奮闘する一方で、彼は薬物依存症にも悩まされていた。治療に奮闘し、いつしか忘れ去られ、彼のベッドサイドの引き出しに置かれたまま40年間も現像されずに放置されていた膨大な35mmフィルムを現像、今まで不世出であった写真たちを現代に呼び起こした。Ramones(ラモーンズ), Sex Pistols(セックス・ピストルズ)に始まり、The Slits(ザ・スリッツ)、The Damned(ザ・ダムド),、Tony James(トニー・ジェームス)、 Iggy Pop(イギー・ポップ)、Siouxsie & The Banshees(スージー・アンド・ザ・バンシーズ)など、70〜80年代を疾走したパンクスたちの群像を蘇らせる。

ニューヨークを拠点に活動するフランス人編集者、作家、スタイリストのクリストファー・ニケ（Christopher Niquet）によるファッション＆カルチャー誌の第13号。毎号一人のアーティスト、写真家、タレント、作家の意見や作品に焦点を当て紹介する。クリストファー・ニケは、これまでにカール・ラガーフェルド（Karl Lagerfeld）やクリスチャン・ラクロワ（Christian Lacroix）、アンナ・モリナーリ（Anna Molinari）をはじめとしたデザイナーの舞台裏で働き、『ヴァニティ・フェア（Vanity Fair）』誌の寄稿ライター、『エル・フランス（ELLE France）』誌のエディター、『セルフ・サービス（Self Service）』誌のスタイリストを務めた経験を持つ。アートディレクションは『Self Service』の編集長、エズラ・ペトロニオ（Ezra Petronio）率いるクリエイティブエージェンシー「Petronio Associates」が手がける。ファッション、アート、本を愛する人たちのコレクターズアイテムとして毎号異なるデザインで企画されている。

第13号はイギリス人ファッションエディター、スタイリストのCamilla Nickerson(カミラ・ニッカーソン)特集。。彼女は長年にわたりファッション界で視覚そのものを形成してきた人物であり、今号ではその創造の「始まり」に視点を置いている。メインポートフォリオでは、服がまだ「形」になる前、アイデアとして存在する原初の地点を見つめ、今シーズンに就任した各メゾンの新クリエイティブ・ディレクターたちが制作したトワル(toile)を用いて構成され、それらは衣服のはじまりであり、それらは彼女は生々しさと意図性を併せ持つ造形へと変換。それらをモデルのCharlie Jones(チャーリー・ジョーンズ)が身にまとい、Mark Kean(マーク・キーン)が撮影し、未完成であるからこそ魅力的なファッションの段階を描き出している。
