1963年にHarvey Ross Ball(ハーヴェイ・ロス・ボール)によって生み出されたスマイリーフェイス。スマイリーフェイスがアート、音楽などのカルチャーに与えた60年余りの長きにわたる影響を称える一冊。ポップカルチャーからカウンターカルチャー、サブ、メイン双方に作用する二面性を持ったグラフィックシンボルは歴史的に見ても類を見ず、Aurel Schmidt(オーレル・シュミット)、BANKSY(バンクシー)、Barry McGee(バリー・マッギー)、Chapman Brothers(チャップマン・ブラザーズ)、Gerhard Richter(ゲルハルト・リヒター)、Jim Jarmusch(ジム・ジャームッシュ)、Rob Pruitt(ロブ・プルイット)など名だたるアーティストの作品を通してこのシンプルなマークが時代や文化によって異なる意味を帯びる様子を視覚的に読み解いていく。

本年7月に公表を博した、1983年マンチェスターで結成されたロックバンド「The Stone Roses」オフィシャルTシャツ「The Stone Roses for bonjour records」の新色ホワイトを11/28 (金) に bonjour records 代官山店・Jadore JUN ONLINE にて発売いたします。
さらに欠品していた既存色ブラックも再リリース。

発売に先立ち bonjour records ONLINEにて 11月10日 (月) より予約を開始いたします。

ファーストアルバム『The Stone Roses』収録曲の「BYE BYE BADMAN」、89年作12inch『FOOLS GOLD 9.53』、1989年発表のEP『I WANNA BE ADORED』、シングル盤『SHE BANGS THE DRUMS』、1991年リリースのシングル『WATERFALL』、バンドの3枚目のシングルにあたる『ELEPHANT STONE』、ファーストアルバムからのシングル『MADE OF STONE』の計7種のラインナップ。

The new white colorway of the official T-shirt “The Stone Roses for bonjour records” by the rock band “The Stone Roses,” formed in Manchester in 1983 and widely acclaimed upon its release this past July, will be available on Friday, November 28th at bonjour records Daikanyama Store and Jadore JUN ONLINE.
Additionally, the previously sold-out black colorway will be re-released.

Pre-orders will begin on bonjour records ONLINE starting Monday, November 10th.

The collection features a total of seven designs, each inspired by one of the band’s iconic tracks:

・“BYE BYE BADMAN” from their debut album 『The Stone Roses」
・The 1989 12-inch single “FOOLS GOLD 9.53”
・The 1989 EP “I WANNA BE ADORED”
・The single “SHE BANGS THE DRUMS”

Fruit Distro Collective
"JUST.LIFE."

ブーンバップビートで育ち、ジャズで作曲を学び、アフロやサイケデリック音楽から影響を受けたBoris van der Hoff（ボリス・ファン・デル・ホフ）と友人のTristan Coco(トリスタン・ココ)により立ち上げられたFruit Distro Collective(フルーツ・ディストロ・コレクティヴ)。ジャズ、ネオソウル、ヒップホップ、アフロ、ラテンなどの要素を混ぜながらエモーショナルなインストゥルメンタルサウンドを探求する。

今作はデビューLP「Some Kind Of Wisdom」に続く2作目で、A面では「日常の小さな瞬間」をテーマにしており、鳥のさえずり、部屋の響き、シンセ・キーボードの余韻など、軽やかで見過ごされがちなものからインスピレーションを得ている。B面では出生・愛・死・循環性をテーマに扱い、「NOVAPt.1,Pt.2」美しく無条件の愛に満ちた子供の誕生と、同時に新たな実存的感情の世界へと足を踏み入れる様子を描き、「This One's For Jamie」は友人の死をきっかけに書き下ろされ、対照的な構成となっている。
