LAの名門レーベルStones Throw所属のシンガーソングライター/ヴァイオリン奏者Sudan Archivesによる3作目のアルバム。これまでで最もクラブ志向の作品であり、ダンスフロアのエネルギーと内面的・感情的なテーマを扱い、エレクトロニック、R&B、エクスペリメンタルに彼女独自のヴィオラやストリングス、実験的なシンセ、アンビエントを取り入れたサウンドを展開。各トラックがそれぞれ違う空気感、違う感情、違うテンポで作られており、その多様性が変幻自在で予測不能、それゆえに新鮮さを与える。電子音、デジタルリズムを用いたサウンドでダンスミュージックへのアプローチもありつつ、ただのダンスミュージックではなく、アイデンティティの探求、自己の再構築を描く内省的な要素を持つことで「感情と身体とテクノロジーの交差点」を探求する作品へと昇華している。

This is the third album by singer-songwriter and violinist Sudan Archives, who is signed to the legendary Los Angeles label Stones Throw. It is her most club-oriented work to date, channeling the energy of the dance floor while engaging with deeply internal and emotional themes. Drawing from electronic, R&B, and experimental music, she develops a sound that is distinctly her own, weaving in viola and string arrangements, experimental synths, ambient textures, and digital rhythms. Each track unfolds with a different atmosphere, emotion, and tempo, creating a fluid, unpredictable listening experience whose constant transformation keeps the album feeling fresh. While firmly rooted in contemporary dance music, the record transcends functional club tracks, instead offering a reflective exploration of identity and self-reinvention—one that critically maps the interplay between emotional expression, physical sensation, and technology.

ベルリンを拠点に活動する6人編成多国籍バンドによる前作EP「Detends-Toi」を経てリリースされたアルバム作品。アフロカリビアンルーツなビート、ヴィンテージブギーサウンド、ムードジャズ、跳ねるギターファンク、煌めくキーボード、シャンソンの薫りを混成的にグルーヴとして成り立たせ、ヴォーカルStella Zekriの妖艶なハスキーヴォイスによるフランス語での愛、自己承認、内省、そしてダンスフロアでの解放をテーマとした歌声が響き、真夜中のパリ、ベルリンのクラブ/ラウンジにいるかのようなムードと戯れる、魅惑的で、聴者に寄り添い心地よい充足感を与えてくれる。

Released following their previous EP "Detends-Toi," this album comes from a six-piece multinational band based in Berlin. Afro-Caribbean-rooted beats, vintage boogie sounds, moody jazz, bouncy guitar funk, shimmering keyboards, and the lingering scent of chanson are fused into a richly hybrid groove. Over this backdrop, vocalist Stella Zekri’s sultry, husky voice sings in French, exploring themes of love, self-acceptance, introspection, and liberation on the dance floor. The music plays with a mood that evokes the feeling of being in a late-night Paris or Berlin club/lounge—seductive, immersive, and gently embracing the listener with a sense of warmth and satisfying fulfillment.

ニューヨーク州スタテンアイランド出身、一家4人でバンドを組んでいるThe Sha La Das。2018年の『Love in the Wind』以来の2作目のアルバムで、妻Lindaとの永遠の愛の物語・過去の恋愛、思い出や写真、過去との対話をモチーフにした感傷性・記憶性をテーマとし、「Blood Harmony」と称されるファミリー・ハーモニーを基盤にしつつ、サイケデリックなサウンドを取り入れディープソウルからThe Beatles、The Beach Boysまで幅広くインスピレーションを得、タイトで空間的なプロダクションの中で重量感あるグルーヴと渦を巻くようなポップ感をまとったドゥーワップとしてアップデート。

Hailing from Staten Island, New York, The Sha La Das are a four-piece band made up of a single family. This is their second album since 2018’s "Love in the Wind", and it weaves themes of eternal love with his wife Linda, past romances, memories and photographs, and dialogues with the past into a deeply nostalgic and reflective narrative. Grounded in their so-called "Blood Harmony," the band’s distinctive family vocal blend, the album incorporates psychedelic textures and draws wide-ranging inspiration from deep soul to The Beatles and The Beach Boys. The result is an updated take on doo-wop: a sound marked by tight yet spacious production, a weighty, driving groove, and a swirling sense of pop melodicism.

1973年生まれ、1996年に渡英しi-Dでキャリアをスタート、現在はニューヨークを拠点としてHarper’s Bazaar GermanyやL’UomoVogueなどのファッション誌やArmani Jeans、Y-3などのブランドの「広告などを手掛けるフォトグラファーTAKAYが尊敬する?本?デザイナー、ヨウジヤマモトの創造?とそれを纏った様々な被写体を撮影した写真集。蜷川幸雄、落合陽?、森??道、宮沢りえ、リリー・フランキー、Charなど?化?から俳優、ミュージシャンまで多岐にわたり、作品からは彼が過ごした幼少期や昭和の時代の?本をどこか連想すると同時に、ヨウジヤマモトのアバンギャルドなスタイルと?本特有の強い感受性と優雅さが感じられる。すべてモノクロで撮影され、ヨウジヤマモトを象徴する黒とそのシルエットを克明に写し出す。
